Grease Spot

Holler Loud,LOUDER Still

as there is nobody to listen

Cry Harder,HARDER Still

as there is nobody to hear

Brutal punctuation to a sigh

...

irrelevant the moment we hit

the ground as a grease spot

Roar Loud,LOUDER Still

as there is an audience

Laugh Loud,LOUDER Still

as it is contagious to hear

Brutal punch line

to an awkward silence

 ...

irrelevant the moment

we hit the stage with

grease painted faces.

This I have to say...

...Really spoke to me on a raw level. Your poetry keeps getting better and better. I'm in suspense for more. Keep those fingers moving. Lacy, Where power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

*applause*

Self deprivation in a sense…the reader, the writer, the performer…we all do it to ourselves but this is the best I have seen it penned…if in fact that is what was intended but even if not, interpretation is nine tenths of poetic law… nicely done poet!!! <3 Emarie

Stunning

This works on so many levels. It's raw, honest and delivered with a deliciously sharp punch. The capitals work extremely well to increase your voice to a mighty roar! Excellent :-) Kaz It's impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

Friction is ended by grease

what is not burned to vapor drips/oozes to the ground. Urgency is one thing but yelling sometimes shuts people out defensively. Laughter can get us through tough moments but it to can cause harm if carelessly applied. So the Reactionary and the Clown and someone in the Middle the Grease. In ink, Dabbler Slick Thought so once others let me believe why you ask... would friends do that??? well the truth is simple for the amusement!

I’m never sure whether we

I'm never sure whether we don the grease-paint mask to provoke the response or to hide our true selves from it ... "LOUDER," we yell and then our alter-egos bear the brunt. When we work to hard to make things work or way

we are succeed in making others isolated.a worthless feeling like a grease spot useful only when applied. So perhaps the grease on the face makes it easier to laugh.Or gives us reason to be urgent. In ink, David
