Fairytale Stepmother

The guilt I feel tends to overwhelm me,

I see they're untouched and it sort of calms me,

But verbally what kind of damage has been done,

So far no signs that her evil has won,

Left all alone ,deprived of all care,

They're just little kids ,How does she dare,

She talks down to me like I don't know shit,

At least I know how to be a mother ,you snobby little bitch,

The few times we've met she looks down her nose,

Like I'm white trash  and she's got nice clothes,

As if that's all that matters in life,

A nice car, a kush job,and some unfortunate man's wife,

I never believed that fairytales were really true,

But I believe in evil stepmothers now that I have met you.

Step-parents are a lottery.

Step-parents are a lottery. Some I'm sure are excellent - loving, nurturing and respectful to the real parent they are representing. Others are horrible, as you've so well illustrated. My own experience with my stepfather was horrendous.
