Sweet Baby Jewels

Touch the skies with your eyes, and trouble not.....your Mama's heart.

Know that you've only entered this world 'cause your Dad is something, smart.

Be strong, oh little one.

Listen to life's smile.

And then learn to dance life's happy dance.

Your youth is far too advanced for you to understand,

know that Mom and Dad are there for you, no matter where you land.

Sing a song of love, Baby Jewels,

and try and grasp only what's true.

Share with other's your smile.

Savor your innosence, my sweetness...and know that wisdom only grows,

when one recognizes they've been blessed from their head down to their toes.

Be only your color of individual,

in everything you do.

And then, you may taste of the rainbow.

Share your good fortunes, so that other's won't need...listen only to your own heart,

and that way the angel's will smile on you...and God will know that you have done your part.

Been a bit rough on you lately Doc,

but you seem to respond well to my harsher crits, which i admire, sublimating your ego to you craft. So here goes. I think this poem is a step backwards for you Doc, back to the preachy tone and forced rhymes that flawed some of your earlier works. cheers, Jess
