 Mom you pushed to bring

me into the world today

 

Mom you nudged

me along in this world

all my life

 

Mom you held

me for the first time today

 

Mom you helped me hold

everything together during

my life

 

Mom you did everything

as best you could

Sorry, friend,

Odes to mothers are as fraught with cliche as love poems, this one did not make it for me. Perhaps some specifics, and even some failings would give it depth. Americans (forgive my culturalism) seem to get maudlinly sentimental about mothers. cheers, Jess
