My Dying Love
Eyes filled with tears
A voice that nobody hears
Could you stay for a while?
Only you can make me smile
Memories are not what I need
Without you why should I proceed?
Your things put away as you try to explain
Instead I ask you to leave me with my pain
The bed sheets smell of your sweet perfume
Our love story regretfully will never resume
My heart begs an explanation as you depart
All I have are thoughts and a tormented heart
How does one walk away from his only reason
Of living in a world that grants a winter season
Tell me how to make this go away and I will
Don’t leave me with pictures on my window sill
The decision is for you to make and that I respect
If you say no my heart will silently object
I sit and hope to see you return some day
Until then I will make it through some way
Be well darling and know that you’re missed
