Like a renewal of cosmic vows

silver white gown and with the peril of some time sabataging the same vows only to be renewed. To write a poem using the phonix I think this sets a mark.It must have the same element and you have done that well here.'Stained Glass Eyes' In ink, David

Quietly we rose from our ashen dreams Faithfully we waited on hope’s sign As the Passeri sang for us I love this - great imagery, great flow, great story, told with a beautiful lyrical voice. I am becoming a fan Emarie - this is one of your best so far. Kaz It's impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

Beautiful; truthful too.

I am no lover of form and rhyme. Lovely thoughts put together with life and truth are just plainly fascinating. You have definitely archived wonders in your write, but the power in sadness it too great to bear. Lol another plus point I think. May you write on to better even this write.

Wonderful write here. Almost like floating on clouds of ecstasy and to crash burned to ashes afterward, to rise again. I never use the word sci-fi as I am old school and that is reserved for grade b or worse film and writing, but it has a science fiction/fantasy type feel to it and was extremely riveting to me. Well done! Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

sci-fi junkie :-S

I suppose in my world "sci-fi" is but an abbreviation for one of my fav genres. lol my novel is actually based on one of my "sci-fi" poems titled 'The Warrior, She' I absolutely lurve it and wish I were better at it...I suppose that is why I have decided to stress myself to the max by choosing that as my first novel's genre lol as always a glutton for punishment...many many thanks! <3 Emarie "For every shadow, no matter it's depth, is threatened by the morning's light..."

Far too real to be fiction

A very well developed and focused metaphor. The detail is stunning, creating a parallel of real life and fantasy. The continuous cycling of life comes through at first vaguely, but then emphasized in the last stanza. The development of both your relationship and your person are very well depicted in the Icarus image. I note the placing of yourself in the position of Icarus and your loved one in the role of the father and mentor of Icarus. This adds so much depth to the description. It is, of course, a relief to see the Phoenix rising rather than the ending of poor Icarus, but in that combination are the alternatives that befall so many. Wonderful poem. John

ahhh well done

so you have found my trigger of inspiration for this work...such parallels exist only to be hidden in plain view...it takes a one of a kind third eye to spot such things so readily my friend so once again I say well done p.s. many many thanks <3 Emarie "For every shadow, no matter it's depth, is threatened by the morning's light..."

...Phoenix...poem

T.L.Blue., This is a dynamite write. You combine bits of Flight of the Phoenix, and Icarus, in a legend form, detailed like science fiction, and tragic, yet you still see through stained glass eyes as he hands you the world. It's a brilliant piece. wcw

Dear Emarie,and the phoenix

Dear Emarie, and the phoenix I am arisen in the sun moonshadows followed we we gone, gaté, gaté, gaté Beautiful heart-wrenching poem. I esp. loved the same lines wcw... ....we are all married in the spirit, yes? Love. ~A "We have to try to get rid of the notion of time. Fluid journey through your imagery

Ooh, this was delicious for me, a lovely treat of queried imagery, open to such rich interpretation & yet so endowed with sensation & symbolism. I felt I was able to journey really fluidly within the construction & yes I loved the cyclical sense of it... as life is. Great stuff (& forgive me for saying this, but I think you should think of becoming a portrait model... Your image makes me want to get out the oil paints, evoking both a strong sense of water nymphs & such, from preraphaelite paintings & a desire to portray Morgana Le faye (Arthurian legends... not in the evil portrayal.. if you read "The mists of Avalon" she has far more credibility). Anni I wish to walk gracefully..... so as not to spill water.

Anni,

thank you so much for the read! and for the comment on my picture! i must say that is quite a compliment especially since my fav artist is J.W. Waterhouse...perhaps one of the more famous preraphaelites...and as for the reference to Morgana...I will take any portrayal...lol that in and of its self is yet another fantastic compliment! Thanks so much again!!! <3 Emarie @~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@ 'My prayer is a rapture in blue' - The Ink Spots 'My Prayer' 1939

a mysterious

and i'll use this word only one more time, i promise--*surreal* piece! if my interpretation is right, you are reborn in the Phoenix's love, which consists of mostly pagan propensities: greed, avarice, and craving. I would have given my right arm to have written this line: Beating a dusty amethyst rhythm/As my soul he graced, so pure.." Dusty amethyst rhythm! Awesome. GB

too funny! i suppose it could be much worse! haha this piece was very inspired and some might even think lofty...but i am fond of it and proud of this little slice of my life...now if only i could pen a few more...wouldnt that be nice lol...thank so much hun! <3 Emarie @~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@ 'My prayer is a rapture in blue' - The Ink Spots 'My Prayer' 1939
