Repairing The Bridge

There are twenty-six letters that I'm capable of using,

with which to juggle, to treat any ear...

..but the ear I wish to summon is not listening.

It's not the barrier of language, for we share that timber of voice.

I need to search for a suitable style of accumulating verbage.

I only want for you to smile.

I wish for a smile to be your posture, always...

..with a walking cane made of chuckles...

..and a map of joy, in your pocket.

It's just that you need to know,

bottom line,

that you're worth searching for that correct "time signature"...

..that proper collection of verbs, and adjectives.

I truly wish I could forever tickle your ear with the right cadence,

with every fiber of my being...

..but, for now.....what's clear,

is that, I'd better withdraw and hone my skills,

'cause that last exchange left me "vowel-less".

"Love means never having to say you're sorry",

but, one had better come up with something else,

"clever".....

..and, QUICK !
