No, No!

Tutor not a man

Unduly firm

To halter

Or to altar---

Save at first he yields

To such direction.

A man unduly firm not amenable to tutoring?

But of course you mean and say quite clearly "To halter Or to altar—" Oh the dire responsibility of any who would choose to teach or tutor. And yield to such directions? The one who with humility offers to teach or tutor must offer all potentialities. As you say unsaid, cheers, Jess

Nice

Bait a hook hand the lad the pole and then come back in a hour if he caught the fish did he but learn how throw the lad in the stream will he swim or will he sink I don't know thats up to him Head instruction well or you'll whined up in Hell for messing with the farmer's daughter the willing learn the unwilling drown Nice I like it simplesity I lack for much description I do give For I see the direct thought in single lines but cant verse without many visions I try to limit them to three but tis hard for me I envy those who can share and save the Ink Sinbad the Sailor

I think I ought to mention that ...

tutor here is in place of advise, advise having the emphasis on the wrong syllable to work right here where tutor does a more satisfactory (in my view) job in accommodating the poem's rhythm. Thanx for your comments. Much appreciated, Chuck

A stern word for correction.

a back hand for urgent correction.Or is that to radical? With moderate instruction from others for rites of passage I have made it as far as I have...so far. In ink, dabbler
