Wicked Lies

I stand among the elegance
of the royal court of lies,
A rumor spreads at just a glance
it's all there in their eyes,
Their ruined dreams
and empty lives,
Stab their hearts
like sharpened knives,
Wicked looks
and longful sighs,
I hear their souls ,
their everlasting cries,
The empty and broken
creep like spies,
But I see through
their pretty disguise,
I see the truth
of their ugly lies,
For I am the one
they so despise.

Third verse from the bottom I read as petty ...

but pretty fits sort of ...rumours spread because entertainment falls short of exposer. If I can berate somebody then that makes me feel better. The "problems"of others are much more "shocking" then add drama and a little more he/she hinted that...stir with green, and let seath by leaving the kitchen and come back to a over boiled mess.
