Muerte Theatric

         sunken feels
    pulled behind a curtain
   snuffed from existence

      the marque flickers
     draws in the morbid
     promises of shadows

         feels sunken
  held captive by a curtain
    existence in shadows

Thank you

Weird Elf this came from a deep part of my mind and what follows it is...well another week for that. I must answer a curtain call now. Lucidly, Dabbler

A criticial role,a actor praised shallow

"Theater Morte"A performer in a role wanting critical reviews so bad he is willing to tank a performance to see if the bad reviews are unique.Yet when he gets ready to go on stage he doesn't know if he can pull it off.So the curtain clings to him ,and the expectation of the crowd sinks him into the role.Sinking into the role,a theatrical murder. Perhaps I will write a second act. regarding the promises used to create pressure in a performer. I took theater arts in the 8th grade, and every year after.Even took summer classes. One of the strangest studies we did was in how to sink a production. Followed by a study in the review of opening verses running critic reviews of a production.Learning to tell when a critic is jaded or biased and by what, to tell weather a critic watched the play or the inside of his eye lids....lol. You Jess are Genuine and Consistently so. So much more to say,but that is what poetry is for to help make it fun and entertaining. Lucidly, David

Thank you David, but you lie

I am consistently honest, sometimes cruelly so, but by no means always lucid! Remember sometimes I post comments on a drunken Friday night, which probably confuses my Thursday American readers. But I am obsessive about spelling and grammar so I may appear more lucid than I am. cheers, Jess
