Many Faces (Same Character)

I am
that kid you knew me as a friend
here I am once again

I was
the outcast that you hung out with
I’ll be here if you need me to be

we are
friends through the rift
making it up as we go along

they are
ready to break away from the routine
to find something real

that is
what I share with everybody
that cares to listen

right here

I did a monkey act

hooted and jabbered and climbed trees I had less dignity trying for acceptance or attention. Strange though, now my Stone monkey is exactly what I need to be. Irrepressible. cheers, Jess
