If Only You Could Know
Frozen fingers in mine and the moon shines
The clouds were our breath as it floated down
And the stars were as bright as your eyes
The night’s heavy with the cold
And the heat of our love was what kept me warm that night
I walk these streets barefoot
But no broken glass or shattered feelings could keep me from you
And with every step I take
The shots of pain shoot through my body
But in your eyes the pain melts away
Like ice being beat by the sun
If only you could see
The ways my heart beats for you
I love you more than I could ever show
If only you could know
Please don’t look away from my eyes tonight
My love won’t stop and die
The world won’t be as big
And the dark won’t scare you
In my arms there is no fear for you to know
If only I could show
The ways I feel for you
Those three little words don’t mean enough
I would take the stars from the sky and put them by your side
To warm you on your coldest nights
If only you could see
The ways my heart beats for you
I love you more than I could ever show
If only you could know
