Burned By Love

As another day starts In this land of broken hearts He pours himself a harmless drink It clears his mind and lets him think Friends tell him to take their advice Ironically it is not good to be to nice Her voice plays like a song in his head This love is not a hundred percent dead Every morning doesn’t start with her kiss A perfect smile is what he will always miss No more conversations until the next day I love you, is what he wants to hear her say He tries to keep his pain hidden deeply within Until he meets that daily dose of whiskey or gin The bartender listens to his story every night Burned by love, did he play his cards right? As he tells his pain, you can see his tears How many bottles will replace all those years

Alcoholism is serious. we all know

And not to make light of it, an alcy told me he drank because a wardrobe fell over and killed his wife. Ten years ago. He is still drinking. It's a disease, not an excuse. cheers, Jess

family can really suck

especially when they blame you or her for what you or both are innocent of. I was in love with a name then I saw her and I was not the same for thirty five years. I tried to destroy myself by destroying everyone else I loved but in the end it was about control you see it was all out of my control and to understand that lifted the hurt inside but I never forgot and still love her name. See Ya ;-) Mark
