Lost In This Insanity

Lost in this insanity That laughs at humanity A silent killer of some sort All are guilty in its court It seeks a weak mind To seem greatly unkind It knows no negotiation Laughs at our desperation As we try to somehow replete The cure that makes us complete We stick to it like a subscription Looked at like it has an encryption The laughter suddenly reappears Smiles replace many unwanted tears Chemical substances somehow provide A sense of self which will only hide The emotions that eat at your skin Another thought of the attempted win Depression is laughing out of spite It’s many forces constantly unite As we hide in our dark places Smiles take shape on our faces A sweet victory has finally arrived The dark days feel quite deprived
