Five Years Later

Let this pen, Tell you a story about fallen men Father’s and Siblings found eternal sleep It’s not a pretty sight when grown men weep Five years later and questions still remain Families look for the closure that they can never gain Some nights seem colder than others We lost fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers Who is to be the one that is blamed? Is it Iraq or people that are best not named? The media says it was a day that will go down in history Our leaders say that we won’t stop until we can solve this mystery Is our country ready for another act of terrorism? Or will our young soldiers try to achieve heroism These question are asked every single day Let us honor those that tragically passed away                              As we try to give a better life to the children of tomorrow Together we can conquer any form of pain or sorrow

Yes, let us honour those who have tragically passed away

But the rest of the poem is a naive joke. America, the greatest terrorist organisation in the world sending its young men to die for oil profits. Give me a break! There is no mystery. Americans must take responsibility by voting and political action to stop this continuing abomination. think and learn, Jess
