Maybe... Everyday (submited for EyeZ street geist)

giving up is in submission, survival is my new mission

everyday it's something new, this I have to point out to you

out on the streets is how I live, everyday  looking for something to give

if only I knew how to make dreams come true

maybe life would't hate me,I could be loved too

maybe if people weren't so afraid of change, life would't be so strange

maybe if I knew how to trust,I might believe in love

maybe if there was no pain in life,I wouldn't want to die

maybe...just maybe somebody will hear my hearts cry

Painfully honest...

A beautiful cry of a heart that is searching...A sensitive soul (maybe hurt one too many times)...tired of the struggle, but knowing that there is always tomorrow...to try again. Life is precious, to this sensitive soul...whoever you may be! Wolfy Cat.

i'm

not sure who "eyez street geist" is, but if you wrote this, i definitely appreciate the pain and the loneliness you express so poignantly--i just know you can do better, though. the commas need to be spaced and the lines spruced up a bit (though i'm not sure if that's really a concern of yours or not, if not my apologies). i loved, but i know you can do better!

I will tell EyeZ she is a girl I know

She will like your insight I'm sure she will put it to use. I will from time to time be posting poems from my homeless friends and My shut-in friends as well,I think it an honor that they would have me do so. In ink, Dabbler

Beautifully poignant

The rawness of emotion is felt and appreciated, even sympathised with I think the inconsistencies don't detract at all only the emotion is felt. Lovely piece, Lacy,

Please tell your friend

that everything can still work out fine, only it´s a long and stony path to follow. I happen to know that because my brother used to be one of those people in the streets once. That was ten years ago, and now he´s found himself a job he likes, is highly appreciated by his boss and has a nice 2bedroom-flat and a car. He finally stopped taking drugs last year and hasn´t been suicidal since. He´s still taking it on one day at a time though. I sense that your friend hasn´t given up ("survival is my new mission"). She´s to keep fighting for her dreams to make them come true! Nobody else will do it for her! ID
