Well done!

A good haiku, words chosen well, somewhat acrosticlike. The title fits well, all was good, "hedonistic calculus" was a bit outside the norm, but works for the smarty pants, Ha! I'm curious as to why you didn't make 2 haikus in place of addding 2 7 sylable lines at the end. Add punctuation if you like! Patrick

Ancientone are you drunk?

it's a tanka, not a haiku. And I think hedonistic calculus is an inspired phrase! cheers, Jess "Are we having fun yet?"

(chuckles) outside the norm

is only the first mile on the way to where I am. A subtle complement I thank you for.Having friends in the Xtreme Athletics they are a breed apart their language is technical and bold ,to say they performed well is an insult to their skill and training,to say they crashed hard is to miss the fact that they just pants death. Xtreme Vocabulary does this theme justice. The difference between "cool","neat",and "Wow!#*%! Tanka Acrostic? Please review Rock-Tanka-acrostic,And Spook. Stay tuned,I will to you. (I will put more related to this on my blog. I dated a journalist that wrote on X athletes. I invite all to read it.) In ink, I Know No Box

Yes, I really do think

hedonistic calculus is an inspired phrase. All extreme sports people I know rationalise their death-wish in statistical or spiritual form. A piercing piece. cheers, Jess "Are we having fun yet?"

My way of saying I appreciated the vocabulary challenge.

Tanka to me is a form that lends its self to versing the human condition.Haiku with a kick of two more lines. Stay tuned for Cinquian. A bit of a challenge for you Anonymity,I would like to see you pen a Tanka 5,7,5,7,7 syl. 5 lines. Look forward to reading it. In ink, Dabbler
