On a Silly Craving

Betimes I know not why

I sigh

Oh, to hold silent then ... I half-assed try.

At other times I do know why

I sigh:

It's for to quench such wailing cry

That for my health I dare not scoff a firm french fry

Or sugared apple pie

Yet now ... or even sometime by-and-by.

Diabetes I suppose!

Sorry for your delimma, life isn't fair is it? My MS took a lot from me and drove me in directions that I had little choice in for a long time. I am luckier than most though. Now I have it well under control and do what I want mostly today. I wish you well! Patrick

ah

the sweet pleasure of a hot and salty french fry cannot be overstated. I wonder if whimsy is just infused in your bloodstream. Yes, yes, let me pontificate... "Chuck's poem is wonderful for the following reason's: he makes rhyme look easy, his poetry is fun for all the right reasons, and he's not afraid to make it fun for the wrong reasons." In short, I love it. Mark W.

Ah, dear Chuck

my sighs may well cross the Pacific post 2nd December, when I give up my two favourite vices, nicoteine and alcohol. My two good amigos Nick Teen and Al K. Hall (apologies to Rolf Harris) cheers, Jess
