Walking with Shadows

                                    I walked alone.

                 My only companion,a shadow.

  A shadow I was not sure belonged to me,

So unfamiliar this shadow was.

  And yet ,this shadow was my only friend.

              This shadow seemed cold at times.

                                As if it resented this lonely walk.

                 I was not sure I disagreed.
