That Crafty Pettifogger

When that pettifogger crafts

his closely worded narr,

He might go worthy far—

e’en yon the surly sea

According to such

sharply forceful plea—

By lovesome well-bred Morgan,

or perhaps a trolley car,

Out past concretely

shifted legal bar.

A nice comment

on sleazy conservatives, but WTF is narr? Can't find it in Concise Oxford or Google. cheers, Jess "Are we having fun yet?"

Someone I Know (To Protect Her Innocence, I'll Hold Secret ...

her identity) inferred from context---and spelling---that it might be abbreviation (or shorthand) for narrative. But no (alas!): Webster's Unabridged pronounces it, much too glibly, a declaration in legal pleading. Something a pettifogger indulges in. Sorry for any possible confusion. Yours, Chuck
