What do you want?
Common ground,that’s what we need,
A place to meet in the middle,
A compromise,A promise,
What is a promise?
I’ve never heard a true promise,
One that hasn’t been broken,
The ones that mean a lot,
The ones that show you care,
So, I guess you don’t,do you?
That’s all I want to know,
What do you want for you?
Don’t feel sorry for me,
And don’t make me promises you can’t keep,
The ring of empty words echoes loudly in my ears,
Ringing louder,still,
Are those words that said it all,
Those words that bring all the glory of the brilliant light of love,
Those words with no true meaning behind them,
Those three heavy words you used so lightly,
And done for me things so politely,
I can feel your sympathy,
I don’t want it,
Your sympathy hurts,
More than my bleeding heart,
Red blood all around,
Why don’t you put me down,
Let me go ,let me scatter,
I might find peices that go together,
And don’t tell me that you love me if you don’t,
Don’t say you’ll do things if you know you won’t,
And don’t hold me if that is not what you want,
I can’t stand another lie,I want the truth not a front,
So take me if you’ll have me,
But if and only if,that is what you truly want.
