Life's Massage

When you wish upon a star

but the star’s way up in space,

and you wouldn’t know a wish

if it were staring you in the face;

when you’re dieing just to live

and really living just to die,

when you’re trying to really give

but no one else gives you a try;

that’s when you understand your luck

though luck can’t understand your ways,

like how you wile away your nights

after hoping all your days;

when you just live to dodge your fears

yet still fear what you can’t dodge,

that’s when things rub you all wrong

and we call that "life’s massage".

paula buckenham i liked the content of your poem very much, it had sweet and sour tones to it, very discriptive too.
