Chocolate charm

Chew me

Hack away at my body

Open your mouth
Cram me into it

Open your senses

Lick me up
And savour the flavour

Taste my sweet bitterness

Eat me at once!

Strong Acrostic

Another nicely done Acrostic. Still doesn't sound forced, although that chocolate sounds mighty demanding! Love, RS

wow,

as someone who absolutely ABHORES chocolate I enjoyed this clever little acrostic for its wit and punch. Funny enough, though it reminded me of the cow in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!" Mark W.

some of my favourite quotes ever come from those books

"The Vogon destructor fleet hung in the upper atmosphere in exactly the same way bricks don't" "In face of danger he goes to pieces so quickly people get hit by the shrapnel" At one time I had a collection of the original BBC radio performances, could probably sell them on Ebay for a fortune, but lost them in custody to a break-up. Such a tragedy Adams died so young. I feel he could have gone on forever, even more creatively than Pratchett (at one time I thought they were the same writer using pseudonyms) cheers, Jess

Terry Pratchett

still rocks! In fact, his books are getting better and better, because his characters develop over time, and I just ADORE his allusions to our real world. Terry Pratchett got me started on learning proper English, not just the school stuff. When I first read one of his books in English, I noticed how many puns couldn´t be translated into German, and from then on, I have only ever read them in English, which added considerably to my vocabulary...But, as I said, I really must reread Douglas Adams. I last read a book by him when I was 19...

I am thrilled

that my poem made your day! Regards, ID P.S: I do eat loads of chocolate, but I try not to dwell on my mistakes, I rather fashion them into a piece of poetry to get them out of my head...Is that therapeutical writing?

Dear Brian, more chocolate or more poems? Thank you for visiting one of my beloved charms, there are many more floating around here. I still come back to this little project from time to time, it is such joy to write these short "trick" poems. Yours, ~Nina

Ha!

I'm at a loss for words. I'm more of a "suck me" than a "chew me" kind of (chocolate) lover but to each their own. Hahahahaha! :)
