whyn't pigs fly?

we analyze,

thus earn the prize:

a small child cries,

red trucks come rigs.

we don our wigs,

a tater fries,

the shovel digs.

we dance our jigs

and twirl our twigs.

a finder spies,

a good gad flies;

and why not pigs?

wow

this has quite the "jig" to it, a subtle but wonderful rhythm. it's almost as though you're saying: all these mundane things go on, we assume so much, so why can't the pigs fly? and i agree. a superbly constructed poem which uses the ordinary to open up for the fantastic. great job.
