Rewind

I’m sorry ‘bout last night

but honey, it’s a new day;

I know I didn’t act quite right

but please don’t push my heart away…

     ..after all the times we had, didn’t the good outweigh the bad?

     I didn’t mean to be unkind, how I wish today, that I could hit rewind.

Don’t doubt my love is true

‘cause my love will never fade,

I don’t know what I’d ever do

if I lost you over a tirade…

     ..’cause after all the times we’ve had, didn’t the good outweigh the bad?

     I didn’t mean to be unkind, how I wish today, that I could hit rewind.

So tell me how you’ve been

the years have sure been kind to you,

so glad we remained friends

but I sure miss the closeness, too…

     ..and after all the times we had, didn’t the good outweigh the bad?

  I don’t know what went through my mind, how I wish today, that I could hit rewind.
