The Curse of Today

A phone call during a time

when you’re tackling another task,

having people slowing you down

when you’re trying to do something fast;

laughing outloud in public

at something innappropriate,

trying to fix the carpet padding

that was torn up by your child’s mutt;

trying to keep ,on top of things

while your house is torn apart,

feeling so discouraged

when you’re trying with all your heart;

Knowing that nothing comes easy

and knowing that all too well,

trying to be understanding

when your life’s a living hell;

having a song in your heart

but no voice with which to sing,

and all of this happened in one day

so, what will tomorrow bring?

Hey Doc

I hope the curse is only one day or once in a while. I can especially relate to the the unnecessary noise. I really think what is best about this is it's rhythm. There is a lot of complaints here, be they true we all know them or most of them. I think the title is good you are in the middle of what you are writing and that is very cool. Respectfully, Mark
