ocular

your face is always in the cold.

i run away when your eyes turn to

meet me, because the iridescent

hesitance of your pain shoots outward

like weeping hieroglyphs etched with eyelashes.

i’m afraid to grasp for you,

eaten by the crocodile calm of the days.

Crocodile Calm

I so know and have witness this calm, Iridescent hesitance I'm a little foggy there. Can't be sure why(sometime your poetry whispers in the back of my head)Like a David Lynce Movie. I can't put it down until I absorb it.Which I always am able to do with most of your work. In ink, David ps.Ocular will give me paper cuts from my dictionary.lol

Understanding VS. Decerning

Being able to see anothers pain; even if it doesn't appear that they might want you to; Then setting your calm day aside too help them would be good. However, you said "face always in the cold," indicates too me that this person might be a drama queen playing coy to bait someone into listening to a constant sob story. I like to give a hand up, not a hand out; or if you prefer help those who help themselves. I like this alot not very long but you said alot

I shiver

I have seen those eyes and been eaten. Again you astound me with the density of your imagery. I simply can't find fault or flaw in this. I tried, wanting to give useful feedback. cheers, Jess "Are we having fun yet?"

OK Done Meditating

This is very sad Quills... It is so rich in language. Makes me think of Girl Interrupted or a few places I have been. Thanks for iridescent :-) Mark

you've given me a perspective

from the point of view that I have never seen, although I have been the one behind these eyes for many years ... this is heartbreakingly beautiful. ~ Ronda
