My! My!

Much to my dread

And to my chagrin

Quite from the bottom of

My oh-so-single chin—

Oh, my! oh, my!—

The pewter sky

Has turned to lead.

So! what the hell!

I think I’d do quite well

If I’d go back to bed.

The morning I first read this ,I was in that

same place,so I had to return on a better day,(that happens to be raining. I have an attraction for poems that set atmosphere, and mood in humor, especially the routine stuff, like getting up in the morning (as if we had a choice.)lol In ink. Dabbler P.s. Escape Artist, one and all,Look Toward the Horizon, and Beyond.
