Paper Thin

My heart is paper thin Watch it as it tears from within These feelings tear apart the bones That line my dieing skin                                                                                               And in the nights falling moon I wait for morning but its not coming soon The dark hours bring about The days that our lives consume   But here in you beating heart I feel love but I can’t play the part I can feel you trying to take control But it will stop before it starts   I fool you all with my false bravery Acting like the world can’t stop me But I live everyday without The touch of love that could cure this disease

This touched me deeply

no wonder I need to take time off from NeoPoet now and then, there is so much truth and raw emotion it becomes hard to assimilate, it tears away the thin vails in front of my heart, as this poem did. cheers, Jess

And in the nights falling moon

And in the nights falling moon I wait for morning but its not coming soon The dark hours bring about The days that our lives consume These lines are wonderful. I agree with Jess. This touched me to the core. It's a beautiful piece of writing. The rhyming is spot on and the imagery is superb. Well done! Kaz x
