Twilight Zone
A funny thought occured to me
what if I’d never been?
and no one seemed to know me
and no one was my friend.
Could I make it without family?
I’m not as needy as I sound,
but I sure can’t imagine it
having no one else around.
I hope I never find out
what it’s like living emptily,
no one to share my thoughts with
or to speak with cordially.
I’d know not of my dislikes
not sharing favorites with anyone,
a perpetual view of bordom
could never teach me what was fun.
So I don’t think I’d much like
living completely all alone,
‘cause that lack of human contact
equals life in the Twilight Zone.
