Pricks

I think it sanely wise to

War against those hector pricks

When they indulge in

Artful dirty tricks,

But wiser still to arm

Yourself with larger sticks

Quite well ere when you kick

Against those burly pricks.

speak

loudly and smack with a big stick, i say--this is a hilarious political commentary (am i right?) and a bold statement that comes from one who has a realistic and not cynical view of what he's talking about. exhilarating poem.

I have a truly excellent stick

which was carved for me by one of my nephews. It has taken one life, see my poem "poor little rat" but otherwise is a symbol of peace. cheers, Jess
