I tried

to call

my friend

last night

for her

advice.

you know,

the one

who has

no need for

answering

device.

I finally

did reach her

via her

live voice …

but not

before

I did

a lottery

dialing.

it seems

I had

no further

choice.

great

phrase, "lottery dialing". though i'm too lazy to be a rigorous luddite (couldn't live without illegally burning music) i know technology has corrupted us almost irrevocably. i have seen four people standing next to each other, in the past, all talking on cellphones at once. a horrifying scene. clever poem, and great phrase.

I like a crisp read...
