Can You Help?
Can you help the children
or the homeless on the street?
Help with a couple of dollars
to get something to eat?
Or are you too judgemental
and could care less for their plight?
You act like you don’t see them
and dodge ‘em with all your might.
But if you took a moment
and listened to a need,
you might just give someone hope
or at least help plant a seed;
After all they are our fellows
they’re people we ignore,
we’re in a rush and will not help them
as we fumble for the door.
So take a step to help somone
an act of kindness will quite do,
for the next time ther is trouble
the recipient might be you.
