Without you

Without you

With you, I never stood alone

With you I was not a person on my own

With you I became a possession

For me,  you became my obsession

Now I find myself being able to stand alone

Without you, I am a person on my own

A vibrant someone, a passionate someone

Things that I have discovered along the way

Have changed me more each passing day

So it is without you, I look forward

Without you,  I move closer toward

My future, leaving my past behind

Free from you and your constant control

Free to fly and learn new things

About the others around me, without you

To hold me back, tell me what to do

Without you to cage my soul. And my mind

Without you is where I am

Without you is where I will remain

This was a good read, for me...

..as someone close to me is experiencing the same situation in their life. Thanks for this, and I hope you don't mind that I emailed it to her. Doc.

Power to you!

It is hard to see into the world of the females,That is why I prize female poets They explain so much better ,yet keeping the mystery about them intact. In ink, Iknownobox

Feebie, I love your spirit

Feebie, I love your spirit I see here & wish all females could think like you do. There had been a certain period of my life that I had been thinking exactly this way, too. Nilmini
