Endings and Beginnings

The end of the day

is the beginning of night,

the end of being wrong

means that you’re finally right.

The end of your funds

means you can no longer spend,

the end of a relationship

you could be minus a friend.

The end of winter

brings the days that are warm,

the end of the quiet

begins the time of the storm.

The end of the property

is where there might be a fence,

the end of love isn’t hate

but quiet indifference.

The beginning of intolerance

puts me at the end of my rope,

but the end of all suffering

is the begining of hope.

You know Doc,

the worst of your poetry is like a Hallmark card, but the best, like this, is truly sublime. Those last 6 lines "the end of love isn’t hate but quiet indifference. The beginning of intolerance puts me at the end of my rope, but the end of all suffering is the beginning of hope." (um, note the spelling corrections if you like) Made me shiver with appreciation, When I ran a Film and Design company for a while I called it "Sublime and Ridiculous Productions" cheers, Jess
