Democracy ?

democracy
= demon ocracy
= demon o crazy

and we must be
if we vote
do we honestly
believe that
they will improve
our lifestyles

voting is a waste of time
mps only shop
in the church of self service

they compose
self pleasing
shopping lists
to fulfill their own greed

they never ask you
if you’d like anything

you are not important
you only pay their wages
which are an obscenity

only being interested
in their own greed.

i

like that someone finally wrote a poem about politics that doesn't worship satan--er, george w. bush--but i have to disagree here. voting probably doesn't do as much as the average person imagines, but it isn't useless either, and if intelligent and talented people like yourself don't get out there to vote in the next elections we'll have total fascists ruling us for the next four years once again. fiery poem.

On Politics

I have stood for election in this country England) for the SOCIALIST LABOUR PARTY led by Arthur Scargill), and in the constituency I was fighting for election came next to bottom. Which was a good result as it got the party noticed. I stand by the sentiments in my poem, and am researching for a way in which we can have true democracy; without violence. We have fascists here in the UK, and no matter which party is voted into power the results are invariably the same. I have read up on the New World Order, which Bush senior mentioned years back; and believe their is a sinister plan being unfurled to bring in a one world goverment. It may sound crazy, but after much research I am convinced. The signs are their. Sorry for that long reply.

your input. This subject is dear to my heart. Especially how the govt is letting us be ruled by the EEC, its madness. We have to stop this from spreading. Lenny

there is not a lot to vote for, protest counts for a lot more, but voting got the greens got the coialist still gets counted. we have a Green senator in Australia, a wonderful man. Lets still vote, but for Greens and Socialists! It does make a difference. cheers, Jess
