unless this is an allegory

which is not clear It misses the point of a haiku which traditionally uses a reference to nature to make a statement about philosophy or feeling. You know I can be brutal in my crits. No offense. cheers, Jess

I know...

and if you wore boxing gloves in a bar fight,I would tell you to take them off. If a person tanks the last thing that person needs is somebody saying something mushy or PC. refernce to nature to make a statement about philosophy of feeling. Thank you I will take this for a ride. Stay tuned, Dabbler

what wimp would wear boxing gloves in a bar fight?

I cheerfully take part in a brawl on this site as I used to do when younger and hopefully more foolish in bars. But this was not meant to be offensive, I respected your imagery while feeling strongly that the haiku form has a lot more to offer. It is the most intense form of poetic compression I have encountered, and believe it deserves that respect. with respect, Jess
