Too Many

Too many lovers cannot be too much

but too many years shouldn’t be seen in the "buff",

too many children can drive you to drink

too many cooks and you can’t find the sink.

Too many true friends couldn’t possibly be

and too many cement trucks equals not enough trees;

too many marriages equals too much divorce

just as too many divorcees is too many, of course.

Too many sorrows in life bring much pain

and too many idiots will drive you insane.

Too many liars will ruin the truth,

and too many cell phones will erase the phone booth.

You can’t have a bath with too many candles,

but you can have T.V. with too many channels.

There are too many things that I find quite odd,

like too many people not believing in God.

Love this!

although I don't really regret the loss of phone booths, except when people have private conversations on their cell phones in public, that is embarrassing. Even the last line doesn't offend me, as an atheist, I simply choose to read it as people not believing in goodness, love and beauty cheers, Jess
