Dance even though there’s no music

and sing though you don’t know the tune,be happy through all kinds of weather

and celebrate the sun and the moon.

Laugh though you don’t get the joke

smile though there’s no reason to,

enjoy whether working or playing

as well as when there’s nothing to do.

Gesture to all human beings

even if it’s just a nod,

live each day as if it’s your last

and talk and listen to God.

Be reverent in serious moments

but always try to have fun,

for these are the ways to live life

because tomorrow’s promised to no one.

So true.......

Hi Doc maverick What you have said here is oh so true, we tend to get so caught up in our day to day lives that we for get to stop, and just be, you know smell the roses, listen to the oncoming approach of an impending thunderstorm...... "Be reverent in serious moments but always try to have fun, for these are the ways to live life because tomorrow’s promised to no one." And this last stanza, especially the last line, "because tomorrows promised to no one" Wise words and true. Many thanks for this!!! Kind regards Feebie Mistakes happen, do not dwell on them, live them, mourn them and move on to better things. (PS: if that does not work eat lots and lots of chocolate)

Welcome back Doc!

It's been nearly a month since you last posted. Because I know you know I respect your poetry I am going to be a bit harsh on this one (terrible way to welcome you back!) To be frank it reads to me like one of those infuriatingly optimistic chain emails. No-one could deny the truths, perhaps that's why it seems to lack substance. That said it still rings with the musical quality of your poetic voice and there are some absolute gems! "Gesture to all human beings even if it’s just a nod," How often do we not even acknowledge a human being, even in a crowded street? Even if they give us a look like they think we are mad or want to have sex with them! 8) And the last stanza is superb. About to go and read your other 2 new postings. cheers, Jess
