I Wish You All Well

Pegasus was a genius.

Living within a suit of

Differences,

He liked what he was.

Nodded in respect

And simply

Flew away.

Just stopped in to see if anyone

Even bothered to look at this one. Thanks Andrew and Chuck. I will miss you both, but I still have a site at The Authors Den where I have over 175 pieces with graphics, I might add, but the best part? They let me be. . .me. I don't have to write anyway except the way I want to. Wish it had been different here. You two take care of yourselfs and Chuck? You keep writing those zany ditties of yours, they are like a box of chocolates.. yep... Ya never know what your gonna get. (I think I've heard that some where before)

Yeah Mark,

she left I think I loved her poetry more than anyone on this site and she gave terrific feedback, was a valued member. But she only wanted her posts to get praised. Remember her only response to critical feedback was a list of her achievements? This is a poetry workshop, not a fan club. Still, while I will miss her badly won't go looking for her on the flattery sites. cheers, Jess

Ya know Jess

Why don't you tell them like it really is? This had nothing to do with my writing. It had to do with YOU and your inflated ego over being a head honcho on the site now. You seem to think you can ignore protocol and all the while expect all the other members (you know, all the ones beneath you) to follow the rules. What were your words on one of my poems? Let's see. . it went something like: "I know you said do not critique mechanics, but tough titties" First of all, my titties are not tough. They are quite soft and malleable, thank you very much. Second, you as an ADVOCATE have no right to ignore the direct request of a writer. If you think you do, then remove the OPTION. You certainly had no right to disregard my preferences as an ADVOCATE and do it blatantly within the comments area and making it public. I liked you more than anyone here, but you have turned selfish and arrogant. And the only reason you will not go on my" Flattery" site as you call it, is because 95% of those people are published arthors. We work hard for the privilege of saying that. If your hunger to publish was as spiraling as your apparent jealousy, you might learn to appreciate a writer and their accomplishments. You Jess, are the sole reason I left here. I will never post here again and frankly feel sorry for anyone who does. Enjoy your new found power. Just remember to buy a new front door so your head can follow your body through it.

What can I say?

I read this with the respect I gave all your writing and will give it a great deal of thought and introspection. Especially the accusation of "head honcho" I find deeply disturbing, it goes against all my political and poetical beliefs. There is no head honcho here, the responsibilities I have accepted have been offered purely because of my commitment to the site and can be removed any time. I see myself as a trusted servant of the site, not a ruler, and if I lose that trust I would want nothing less than to have these responsibilities removed. They are not always easy. I invite feedback from others. May well even re-post this to a forum. As to our tiff that led you to leave, I can only say again I was trying to offer a positive suggestion, even against your expressed wishes. Friends sometimes do that. cheers, Jess

It was no accusation

It was an observation taking place before my eyes ever since this advocate crap started. If you were really so interested in making this as advertised, ie: NeoPoet.com Beta | Bringing Poets Together A friendly online community for poets and writers. No it isn't. It's a place where you are made to follow certain rules by the Gestapo, but true to form, the Gestapo does not have to reciprocate. Your attitude toward me started taking on a seething sarcasm when you saw that one review by ONE PERSON, who said My poetry was the best that he had come across SO FAR on the site. You ripped him apart for saying that. You had no idea how many he had read. And if the poetry he was reading was simply something he did not like. THAT was his prerogative to express. After that you stopped reviewing my work and sent me short, curt little messages about how I should review this female or that female. THAT my friend, is not for you to dictate. Get the connection? I HATED being an advocate BECAUSE of you not in spite of you. If you wanted to disregard my request on that poem because of "friendship" you should have sent me a private message like you did about everything else BEFORE I got the review that pissed you off so bad. Not in an open forum. Anyone reading that could easily believe that it would not matter if the request was for you to take it easy on them. Your tough titties motto would take precedence. DO NOT throw the word friendship around like a dirty word Jess. Friends do not try to change friends into what YOU want them to be. Nor do they try to embarrass them. I wish you all the best in your political career. Give it another year and you'll be flinging sh*t like the best American politicians can. I wrote and posted with graphic, a poem in your honor. It's called PORTICO. It's even dedicated to you. But you know those "Flattery" sites. Everyone will say it's outstanding in it's pure anger and defiance. Heaven knows, that could not be the truth. Right Jess? I can say in parting that you riling me up has given way to some great stuff. I have even joined two more writing sites. NOT poetry. Writing. It might serve you well to look the meaning of that up. While your at it, open that FunkenWagnel to the page with "Friend" on it. I can guarantee, you will not find your face there.

I have no idea

what you were referring to with "Your attitude toward me started taking on a seething sarcasm when you saw that one review by ONE PERSON, who said My poetry was the best that he had come across SO FAR on the site." And that is not a verbatim quote, s/he also said the rest of the site was crap. Oh yes I do, memory jogs, can't remember the poem, you have deleted them all, but I remember the person who posted it had never posted themselves or commented on any other poem. Yes, it pissed me off, but it never stopped me appreciating your poetry, sorry you are wrong there. We were short handed on Advocates at the time and I simply could not give you the reviews you deserved. Our disagreement, I maintain, was that I offered a suggestion out of order, and yes, I should have sent it by Private Message. But it had nothing to do with that ignorant idiots comment. I still maintain that your poetry is some of the best I have seen on this site, but I, on the other hand, have read most of it, and posted my own so that others can see the quality or lack thereof I have to offer. Remember, I don't forget, I was the first person to truly appreciate and defend your poetry. That single comment had no affect on the way I read yours. It was out of order, arrogant and unsupported. cheers, Jess

This is such a calmer

response than the nasty little email you sent me Jess. I made the mistake of thinking more of you than that. Bret Michaels had it right whe he said "Every rose has it's thorns" That's why I carry, gloves.

PORTICO?

I had googled "Rottiestyl" and found a few poems in other websites but I failed to found "Portico". I wanted to read it! In fact I wanted to read more of your work. Don't you see? You didn't abandon Weirdelf. You abandon every single person in this website, you abandon every single reader, every single person, every single life that will never get the change to read your words. You denied your poems to make a difference in hundreds of lifes. Cause of an argument with one person? He could be the worst person in the world, he could be Hitler! Should we give up of the world cause of Hitler? Sorry to inform you, poetry has nothing to do with reviews.

I appreciate your comments

However, I have not denied anyone anything. I am on Arthur's Den, I am on PoetrySoup, I am on Helium, I am on Gather, I am on My Space, I am on Facebook, I am on PoetryExpress. I left because I will not have my wishes stepped on. There is no argument. An apology when it happened would have stopped all this. I was an advocate as is he. We are supposed to have a higher standard. Obviously, I was wrong. If you want to read my work, the majority of it is on Authors Den. A lot has not been submitted yet. You will find a lot of great authors there. Very talented and some quite famous. There are many fine and talented people right here, Jess being one of them. He has made it clear in an email to me that I am toast, so to speak. That's a much nicer way of repeating what he actually said. I know poetry has nothing to do with reviews. This was not about a review, it was about a breach of protocol for advocates. Well, thanks again for the comments. Go to AD and search me or PORTICO. Or google me(K. Mulroney not Rottiestyl) and hit the AD link to my page. Hope you enjoy. Don't forget all the thousands of other author's there! K. Mulroney
