To a troubled soul....

To a troubled soul….

You turned to the solace of darkness

when things were baring down on you

you experienced an avalanche of human emotions

leaving your heart and soul feeling caught up in the commotion

open your mind, free you heart

move closer toward the light

carry on the constant yet grueling fight

don’t give up, please don’t give in

there are those out there

who really worry and genuinely do care

reach out to them as you would a life buoy

hold on for all you are worth,

for my friend this storm shall to

one day pass, and it will get brighter

be the true you, the you who is fighter

for all you really need do

is to call, beckon for a helping hand

a solid foundation for your wobbly feet to land

you will once again prevail

for i know you and you never fail

for you my friend i wish nothing but inner peace

happiness to place a smile on you face each day

smiles to brighten the darkness you feel in a big way

you have but just to call on me, my friend

know that you are not alone

for loneliness is not ours to own

we are one of many in on this earth

each one of us linked to the other

in friendship that once forged

will be a link that will never be broken

for all the words and thoughts will be shared

even those that normally would not be spoken.

Please call on me next time the darkness threatens to engulf you

don’t take the world upon you shoulders,

broad as they are, this was not a load meant for you

for we all need to lighten our load and purge our hurts.

For you the world will once again smile

for you the light will once again shine

for you oh troubled friend of mine……..

Wow...

...that was great! I think you just got yourself a fan. It's a very appealing theme. We all need a good friend. I hope you were able to help that soul to stay away from the darkness. The title I understand it, it fits. Keep writing, you're a good poet, and a good friend too.
