Battered Heart
Maladroit relations of the sinning kind.
Words ripped from my soul fill the page.
Sentiment poured in a sieve riddled with rot.
My heart worn upon my breast ripe with fear.
Stored agony bubbles up igniting parched kindling.
Assumptions of the worst kind rush upon my lips.
