Battered Heart

Maladroit relations of the sinning kind. Words ripped from my soul fill the page. Sentiment poured in a sieve riddled with rot. My heart worn upon my breast ripe with fear. Stored agony bubbles up igniting parched kindling. Assumptions of the worst kind rush upon my lips.

How can I knock you on your back?

When you just knocked me on mine? The raw emotion of this! I have just read your 5 postings so far and got to say am really impressed. That doesn't come easily, ask anyone, I can be the harshest critic on this site, and have given some of your poems a bit of hell. This one was more power than poetry. Overall I just adore your use of the language and your versatility, most welcome to NeoPoet, with respect, Jess

Thank you!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am glad to be here. Where is the pin? For now I must deflate my enlarged head.
