Demon of me

Door after door
I run through
Just to get away
A demon is chasing me
But who I can not say
I come to a door and it is locked
I know this demon will soon catch up
I bang and push against the door
And I hear footsteps going faster and faster
I finally turn around
And realize the demon
I’m looking at is me

nice!

this is a chilling and clever metaphor for the self-torment we all experience, running from thing to thing feeling dissatisfied when the real problem is internal discomfort--you capture all this very elegantly. neat!
