Journey

I have walked thousands of miles it seems, in no particular direction

Looking and searching for that one special connection

Back and forth, here or there

A time it seems, whatever direction the wind blowed

Where I’m headed only God knows

It has been a fantastic ride

But oh so long and never ending at times

As I continue this journey of enormous pride

Collecting battle scars along the way

And life time wounds, that don’t go away

Seeing images of my yesterdays

While praying for my tomarrows

And asking God to take away all my sorrows

As I move ahead through unchartered territory

From life experience, time continues to borrow

I know one day this journey will reach it’s end

As I continue to search within

Then from life, I can only hope that time will lend

love the incompleteness

only a truly humble, good poet could write that ending. the first line grabbed me, I loved that it was (and probably still is) a fantastic ride. Am still not sure about the ending, but that is as it must be, you haven't ended yet. cheers, Jess
