Lie In Our Graves

It was a dark night in another time

The roses bleed from their stems

The nails of love sealed the coffin that i couldn’t find

But death brings clarity

And all those forgotten dreams

And the ambitions of our younger days

In the silent light of an awakening morning

The grey clouds drifted away

We lie in our graves

And dream every dream we once made

This could have been trite

but the quality of your imagery, your ability to show and not tell as said, and especially the dynamite of those last lines... oh forget I even mentioned trite. cheers, Jess
