Yesteryear
The stars of yesteryear
Were Stars of the first magnitude
The women, were graceful and elegant
The men were dashing and handsome too.
There are no stars anymore
They’re just celebrities.
Amoral and slovenly
The masses, they seem to please.
Quality Scripts have been replaced
With special effects, and action.
I miss the movies of yesteryear
When the story was the attraction.
Perhaps I should have lived
In another time and place.
Somewhere called yesteryear
A different time, a different space.
