Her Cries

Something inside me

cries out for you,

so many times, that…

When I step back

for less,

I back into more

I run,

but I run into,

not away from

Even when I close my eyes,

I still see

Somewhere, in the darkness.

Your touch, your look

so real, and…

Something cries

out for you.

It cries out for us

Her Cries

Hey Jess. I am soooo glad that you loved "Her Cries". You are making me open my book of poems and share them immediately. I don't get to share them and am so glad someone as yourself enjoy them. I've never been critiqued. I just ordered and got the movie SLAM with Saul Williams and Sonja Dohn. I had seen it in 1999 and happen to run into it. It is great with the poetry slams. ladywriter I will be on here off and on today

I went to my local video shop

and that movie wasn't even listed in "The Source"! Am intrigued, the only really good movies I have seen about poetry are "The Beat" (very obscure), all Jim Jarmisch's movies and "Pandaemonium" which is about Coleridge and the writing of "Kublai Khan" let me know more. cheers, Jess
