Stung Out

Some people get strung out.

She got stung out.

Getting high from the pain.

Bliss and misery holding hands.

As she cuts into her flesh.

Loving and hating the pain.

Scars of new and old.

Skip down and around her body.

Watch as the razor bites into her.

Lies cover her from head to toe.

Screams can’t be heard.

Tears of shame can’t be sought.

Rage encouraging her.

Whispering into her ear.

Wanting more and more.

As light turns to dark.

Washing away the blood.

Stinging as the pure water cleanses.

The bathroom becomes her sanctuary.

As she gets stung out.

You are one gutsy writer.

This is such a touchy subject, you aren't afraid of anything, are you? I have a friend who used to cut herself. I understood it, have even done similar things (with fire, and not habitually), but could never accept it. You broach some subjects that dearly need to be foregrounded and few have the courage to do it. You even explain it to the listener who is unafraid to hear. What can is say? Your voice is necessary and eloquent. Jess
