Black As Pitch
Black as night freedom calls to the winds.
Mine ever reluctant judgments fracture the clouds.
For when the ravens of the darkest breed descend
The death rattle of a heaven calls from the skies.
Have I allowed it to trade its only soul?
Share none with none, send the hounds in
Shade the eyelids, shake foundations.
Sever whatever ties bind this free thought.
This is the best way to die,
But living through it is getting worse as night approaches.
Taste the death of sincerity flow from the wound
Like a swollen specter of itself.
It breathes and everything is touched.
Mine omnipotent blind prophet.
