No more

A grain of sand

Slips through the hour glass

Standing alone

Watching time pass

Wondering

Lost

But never broken

Shamed

Never with out pride

A few last grains

And I’ll be free

What has time given to me

So much I don’t want to leave

Just a few more seconds now

Wait I say

I’m not done

I grab the hour glass

Throw it to the ground

My life is mine

You can’t take it

I control my dreams

I control my fate

No more

Will I watch the time

No more

Will I stand alone

No more

Will I be trapped

I just realized

That now I am free

My time is my time

No more

Will you take that from me

I think there are a few in your recent cycle of work

that are more about joyously affirming the actions you have taken in liberating yourself from a dangerous and oppressive past than... being in the present you have created. Undoubtedly necessary for you and I applaude them, while not entirely "being there" with them. You get what I mean? cheers, Jess
